Action & Management Plan
The Sustainability Action and Investment Management Plan is a critical planning tool that will guide your future sustainability efforts and investments. The plan converts the results of the Vision and Scope process, Baseline and Existing Conditions Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement Summary into actionable, measurable, cost effective goals and strategies.
Development of Goals and Strategies
We develop a Comprehensive List of Goals and Strategies for the topic areas that reflect your organizations sustainability vision and scope. For example,
1) Energy: Energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy strategies that will lower annual energy costs, decrease the energy intensity (i.e., kWh per square foot) and reduce reliance on high carbon intensity energy sources.
2) Solid Waste: Source reduction and waste management strategies that will decrease waste generation and improve the diversion rate.
3) Water: Water conservation and efficiency strategies that will reduce water use intensity (i.e., gallons of water per capita) and increase the amount of recycled water used on site.
4) Education: Educational strategies that will support the implementation of the energy, solid waste and water goals and that raise awareness of sustainability among employees and other stakeholders.
Strategy Ranking
From the comprehensive list, we will systematically rank or prioritize your sustainability goals and strategies based on your preferred selection criteria (e.g., greenhouse gas emission reduction potential and cost of implementation). The result will be a Strategy Prioritization Document that includes the following information for each of the top strategies:
- Timeline category: Short (0-5 years), medium (6-10 years) and long term (10-20 years)
- Metrics to measure the impact of the strategy
- List of milestones to achieve strategy
- Meaningful and achievable targets
- Organizational contact that will be the lead on the strategy
Action and Management Plan
All goals, strategies and targets will be compiled and presented in a professional Action and Management Plan Document for your organization.
